  • Encouraging them to search out who God is, based on the bible and biblical foundations and encouraging children to get to know Him more.

  • To help children find their identity in God.

  • Encouraging them to grow and develop in confidence, in love and respect for others.

  • To encourage a curiosity for learning through exploration and play.

  • To direct and nurture a character of persistence, initiative, creativeness & perseverance.

  • To offer an environment where children can exercise love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness & self control.

  • To encourage each child’s God given potential and gifting, while they walk into the destiny planned for them.

  • To encourage ‘I can’ children who are built up and equipped for a big world of challenges and change.

  • Nurturing creative thinkers that showcase our creator God.

methodology

  • After extended research we have based our philosophy and program methodology on ‘Learning through Play’ where children are introduced and exposed to facilitated, hands-on, experiential learning.

  • Patches offers a loving and nurturing environment that facilitates opportunities for learning, problem solving and creativity.

  • We encourage children to grasp concepts through the art of play, while they experience and discover through their senses.

  • We believe in the whole-child centered approach, where we research and think of areas in which the child might need development. We focus on the:

  • Educational development of the child ( how the brain learns)

  • Emotional and social development(the behavior of a child)

  • Self-confidence and impulse control of each individual child

  • Spiritual development of the child, teaching bible based foundational doctrines of God our Creator & King, His love, redemption and salvation through His Son Jesus and His continued help, guidance and power through His Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that what the bible says is true, we believe in prayer and we encourage children to trust in God.

we encourage

  • Opportunities to discover, explore, and experience.

  • Opportunities for children to fail and try again, because failure should never be a threatening experience. How we as adults handle failure, is how our child will handle failure.

  • Facilitated play, social and emotional development and important development stages such as puzzle building, construction and sensory play.

our philosophy

  • We believe is that the process is more important than the product!

  • We allow the children to express, experience and creatively discover as they venture through the process.

  • We allow problem solving opportunities, thus developing creativity, team work, enjoyment of challenges and exercising of independence.

  • We allowing the children to learn that choice comes with responsibility.

  • Our programme is structured around majority play together with facilitated, structured activities based around a specific theme.

  • We allow them to develop at their own pace and according to what is age related.

"We ensure to provide children with a loving and caring environment, pointing them towards God with strong, biblical, foundational truths, while they learn through play."
